NFSMW HUD redone
----------DIDNT UPDATE FOR A WHILE, I RECOMMEND TO USE OTHER MODS THAT ARE SIMILIAR TO THIS ONE--------
I remake the NFSMW UI textures in a higher resolution(at least 200% of original size).
I changed some things like new scratches texture, the skid marks, nexhaust flame, new grill texture, numberplate and much more.
So far, i edited the following files:
FrontB.lzc
GLOBALA.BUN
GLOBALB.BUN
GlobalB.lzc
HUDS_Custom_00.bin
HUDS_Custom_02.bin
HUDTEXRACE.BIN
InGameA.bun
InGameB.bun
InGameB.lzc
(the files still have some original textures)
installation:
extract and drop the files into your NFSMW folder
(better do backups!)
--i am aware that edoo1 uploaded a similair mod , however it only resizes the original textures--
versions:
v0.5 first release; many icons etc missing
v0.55 added some more icons
v0.6 added more textures(FrontB.lzc,LanguageTextures.bin);imported car manufacturer icons from nfsw; added speedo font less prone to aliasing; turned down blue of EA TRAX;
tried improving damage texture
v0.6fix adressed the issue with the Golf tachometer needle by recompiling the HUD.bin file
v0.75 added many icons; new light flares;completely new damage texture; new carmaker logos from carlogos.org; added HUDS_Custom_02;
known bugs:
-the tachometer HUDS_Custom_02 (alias Apex) doesnt show the turbo needle
tools used:
paint.net
NFSTexEd
NFS-CarToolkit 2.0

@NFSBusiness i created a new archive, and hope that fixes the texture problem. Let me know if it didnt ;)Very interesting that it only seems to appear with 9K rev line, maybe there is a way to script a fix too.
@edoo1 could you please stop being so salty? We are all here together to make NFS a bit nicer and better suit our taste, and not to hate each other because they make something sort of the same.
And thank you for mentioning the problem with TexEd, like i said this is fixed hopefully.

The reason why the Needle is glitched is that TexEd 1.x doesn't override textures correctly and btw this isn't a fkin "HUD" mod as you say if you do everything else but the UINFSBusiness (April 26, 2019 @ 01:06)
(2/2) I've come up with a workaround.I went into VLTed and modified the value that determines which texture will be displayed. For each car that was affected by the garbling issue, I reduced the MAX_RPM value by 1000, which will make the game display the 8000lines texture, but not affect the car's performance at all. So the LAN Evo uses the 9K lines texture, but only revs up to 7K. By doing what I did, the car will rev up to 7K just like it did before, but on the 8000lines texture.

(1/2)I did some messing around with the game, and figured a couple things out.
The texture garbling present when using a car that uses the 9000lines texture is an issue with the game, i think.
It didn't matter what textures I did or did not modify from an original texture file. The garbling persisted whenever any texture was changed.
