NFSMW HD GAUGES
THIS MOD REPLACES ALL 11 HUD GAUGES IN THE GAME WITH NEW RE-MADE FROM SCRATCH VERSIONS.
CHANGES FOR v1.1:
1. Fixed warp 9000 lines design mistake
2. Fixed redline texture flaw, this needed some position adjustment and a re-draw to make it fit with the new textures correctly
3. Added modified HUDTEXRACE.BIN file for redline texture fix
3. Re-made stock and vision lines with proper line-spacing/alignment
4. Re-made 10000 lines alignment grid in gauge creation assets folder
5 Touched-up some minor compression artifacts I noticed on some textures
6. Made all 7000 lines textures the 8000 lines versions for better consistency in the menu
7. Fixed aliased edges in Brakestand
8. Made a few tiny positioning adjustments in a few textures
9. Made sure all textures were in ARGB format
**DETAILS / CHANGES:
1. THE NEW TEXTURES WERE DRAWN IN SUBSTANTIALLY HIGHER RESOLUTION THAN THE ORIGINALS. THESE SHOULD LOOK CRISP EVEN ON A 4K DISPLAY.
2. I HAVE TAKEN SOME SUBTLE STYLISTIC LIBERTIES WITH A FEW OF THEM TO MAKE THEM LOOK BETTER.
3. THE DESIGNS OF SOME OF THEM HAVE ALSO BEEN REDONE BETTER THAN THE ORIGINALS (APART FROM THE RESOLUTION).
SOME OF THE GAUGES WERE LAZILY DRAWN / HAD RE-USED ASSETS THAT DIDN'T MATCH UP AND I HAVE RECOGNIZED THE FLAWS OF THE ORIGINALS AND ADJUSTED THE REMADE ONES ACCORDINGLY.
4. THE TICK MARKS OF THE NEW TEXTURES HAVE ALL BEEN DRAWN DIFFERENTLY TO HAVE PERFECTLY CONSISTENT SPACES BETWEEN THE TICK MARKS. THEY LOOK A LOT BETTER THAN THE ORIGINALS IN THAT REGARD.
5. APEX AND BRAKESTAND HAVE NEW MATCHING TURBO LINE DESIGNS.
6. THERE ARE TWO ALTERNATIVE TACH FILL TEXTURES AND A SET OF ALTERNATIVE TICK MARK TEXTURES INCLUDED IN THE PROVIDED FOLDER IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SWAP THOSE IN. THESE WERE INTENDED FOR GLINT, AS IT HAS AN ANNOYING BACKING BUT YOU CAN USE THEM FOR WHATEVER YOU'D LIKE.
**HOW TO INSTALL (TWO METHODS):
**EASY INSTALL**
1. INSERT AND REPLACE THE MODIFIED BIN FILES INSIDE OF THE GLOBAL FOLDER IN THE GAME'S DIRECTORY.
2. INSERT AND REPLACE THE HUDTEXRACE.BIN FILE INSIDE OF THE GLOBAL FOLDER IN THE GAME'S DIRECTORY TO APPLY THE REDLINE ADJUSTMENT FIX.
3. DON'T BOTHER BACKING UP YOUR ORIGINAL FILES, THESE TEXTURES ARE SO GOOD, YA WON'T NEED 'EM!
**CUSTOM INSTALL**
1. DOWNLOAD NFS-TexEd 1.7 (MUST BE 1.7 OR NEWER, THIS MOD WAS MADE WITH 1.7)
2. OPEN NFS-TexEd 1.7
3. IMPORT NEW TEXTURES INTO EACH INDIVIDUAL BIN FILE. (THIS ALLOWS YOU TO CUSTOMIZE THE GAUGES HOWEVER YOU LIKE)
PULL TEXTURES FROM THE INCLUDED FOLDER, OR PULL YOUR OWN TEXTURES.
3A: CHECK NAME OF TEXTURES; THE GAME REQUIRES THE NAME TO BE EXACTLY WHAT IT EXPECTS, OTHERWISE IT WILL NOT DISPLAY AT ALL.
3B: CHANGE FORMAT TO ARGB BEFORE IMPORTING A TEXTURE, OTHERWISE IT MIGHT NOT DISPLAY CORRECTLY.
3C: MAKE SURE TO SAVE CHANGES.
