Need For Speed: World
Immersive Sound Overhaul
by TerraSphere_385

Ever noticed tunnel reverbs were terrible this game? In line with the Immersion Overhaul Project, I felt the sounds were an important part of the experience as a player, to get you immersed in the world, to dispell disbelief and just for once, actually believe the game existed. Installing this mod gave the game a sense of magic you only hear in the tunnels of Rocport and Palmont. It made the engines feel like they breathe fire. Engines sing like angels intent on saving the world, like lions roaring in the tunnels, like demons screaming for vengeance, like thunder shaking the cement walls with its ferocity.

Then you let off the throttle, and out goes the first exhaust pop echoing in the tunnels. Then the second, and the third. Flames come out from the back of your car.

Then you switch gears. Down from fifth to fourth. Flames burst. Your engine wails like a woman, for the first time in her life, reaching her climax, as if it felt like it is the pinnacle of her life, the highlight of her career. You let the tachometer slide further down, and you switch gears again. Another moan of pleasure escapes from the slave you have that is the engine.

Then you switch gears. Pedal to the floor. The faint scream starts growing stronger once gain. The engine thunders down the road. Engine roars along the walls as if it's following you. This city is alive. The cycle starts all over again.

FEATURES:
Better Reverb in the game world
Glorious Reverb in the tunnels

BUGS:
Due to EA fucking up the game's audiomapping, the reverb effect is more pronounced on the left side. It is recommended to play the game with speakers instead of ear devices. Otherwise, I already provided an uninstaller for you to revert back to vanilla reverb.

WHAT YOU NEED:
Archive Extractor (WinRAR, preferrably)
NFS-VLTEd

INSTALLATION:
If you don't have an archive browser, here's a download link: https://rarlab.com/download.htm

If you haven't downloaded NFS-VLTEd, here's the download link: https://nfs-tools.blogspot.com/p/downloads.html

There will be one .nfsms file inside the archive. Extract the file wherever you want.

1. Open NFS World on your VLT-Ed.

2. On NFS-VLTEd, Click File > Import > ModScript and browse for the file you extracted. Select and install.

3. Once it is finished importing, click File > Save on your NFS-VLTEd.

You may now play the game with better reverb.

Final Remarks:
You may now post my mods in other sites or use them in your servers without my permission. However, kindly credit me for the work, no matter how miniscule this mod is. It helps a lot in maintaining the modding community's sense of camaraderie. Hopefully, with enough time and effort, more talented people will be inspired by the community to join us in modding NFS. More talented people means more mods. More mods means better mod quality and more fun time for all of us. And that talented person could be you.

To all the people who graduated from NFS modding, thank you for your hardwork. To all of you who are now working at game companies, congratulations! I'm really glad your time and skills were of value to your personal life. Your creations inspire us, even to this day.
