Description:

This mod aims to restore the custom brakes leftover from NFS Underground 2 with all their glory.
Available brakes are:

- Underground 2 Style 0: Gray calipers, normal rotors.
- Underground 2 Style 1: Painted calipers, cross-drilled rotors.
- Underground 2 Style 2: Painted calipers, cross-drilled bigger rotors.
- Underground 2 Style 3: Painted calipers and hubs, cross-drilled and slotted golden rotors.

Changes made by this mod:

CARS\BRAKES\GEOMETRY.bin:
- Moved the meshes to fix the positioning.

GLOBAL\GlobalB.lzc:
- GlobalTextures.tpk:
--- Added textures: BRAKE_GLOBAL, BRAKE_GLOBAL_LEFT, BRAKE_STYLE00-03
- CarPart:
--- BRAKES: Added LANGUAGEHASH attributes for new strings. Changed slot ID from "BRAKE" to "FRONT_BRAKE".
- SlotTypes:
--- FRONT/REAR_BRAKE: Added "BRAKES" as the main slot override, so the parts from there can be installed, along with the parts included with the cars.

LANGUAGES\(Language/LABELS).bin:
- Added strings: PN_BRAKES_0-3

Installation:

WARNINGS:
! If you have installed add-on cars via Ed or NFSMW ReCompiler before, this mod may break your game.
Please backup these files before doing anything.
- Global: GlobalB.bun, GlobalB.lzc
- Languages: Whole folder

! If you have NFSMW Mod Loader and replacement cars installed using it, please remove them.
This mod WILL BREAK Mod Loader compatibility.

! This mod WILL ONLY WORK with "NFSMW Unlimiter with Extra Customization" v3.0 and up.
Older versions do not have the menu option and required tweaks for custom brakes to work.

1) Download and install the latest version of NFSMW Unlimiter with Extra Customization: (Compatible with v3.0 and up.)

2) Install required mod data using Binary: (Compatible with Binary v2.2.0 and up)
1) Download and install the latest version of Binary: https://nfsmods.xyz/mod/1638
2) Run Binary as administrator.
3) Select User Mode. (Tap/click the icon on left.)
4) Select the "_LeftoverBrakesFix-Setup-Binary.end" from the dialog and tap/click OK.
5) Select your game installation directory.
6) Wait for it to get installed.
7) Confirm the save prompt.
8) Quit Binary.

3) Enable custom brakes by editing the config files for your cars:
a) General settings (for the cars without a custom .ini file): scripts\UnlimiterData\_General.ini
b) Car-specific settings (for a car with a custom .ini file): scripts\UnlimiterData\CARNAME.ini (do it for all the cars you have)
- Change the Brakes setting from 0 to 1 in the [Parts] section and save the file(s).

4) Enjoy your new brakes!

It just works, and it's awesome. I love how it takes the color of the body paint too. Even works right away if you add-on cars after the fact.

Is it possible to make them change as you tune the actual brake upgrades like in NFSU? I had special interest in making performance upgrades change actual parts in the car like engines and brake
