Disable HUD Sounds While Driving
If you are making cinematics, or just cruising with the HUD fully off (thanks, cinematic tools!) and you want clean in-game sound without tickers and boops, then this mod is for you.
This mod depends on "Frosty Mod Manager". Install the latest version from https://frostytoolsuite.com/downloads.html
Once installed, select your NFS 2015 installation, click "import mods", then choose which of the following sets to apply to your game from the selection below.
Remember to click "apply mods" to add them to the checklist on the right.
You can enable multiple sets at once (except "set1" and "set 1 ALT" - don't put them together) to remove as many or as few sounds as you wish.
Set 1 removes all REP related sounds present in free roam, along with mission/vista/donut/part pop-up and cop "current bust status" sounds. Basically anything that's unprompted other than ringtone/message sounds (since they can already be disabled in-game). Enable ALT version instead to retain audible player challenges.
Set 2 removes event specific rep sounds, along with countdowns and checkpoint/best laps etc.
Set 3 removes the confirmation sounds used when accepting events/vistas/collectibles/fines.
This shouldn't infringe copyright or mess up anything, since we are just temporarily swapping out each HUD sound for a silent test sound already present elsewhere in the game directory. Let me know if I missed any HUD sounds you want gone while driving.
Initial public release
Set 1 (and ALT) should now also remove "player joined/left session" sound as intended.
Set 1 ALT version now doesn't keep event info popup sound, which should leave the player challenge request sound as the only difference between the normal and ALT version.
Set 2 is unchanged - version number incremented for parity.
Set 3 no longer removes the screenshot sound.
Known issues: Players introduced at race start/time attack times still make sound.
