[NFSUC] Color accurate HUD

Color accurate Undercover HUD

It's no secret that NFS Undercover had a rushed development; during this time, Blackbox developed a new UI system called "Apt" which they utilized for the menu's however they couldn't prepare this new system in time for the game's HUD, so they re-used their old UI system "Feng" for the HUD. As a result of this, the HUD has a very different color scheme and style compared to the rest of the game's UI elements. This mod gets rid of the awkward cyan HUD colors and uses UC's orange and yellow color scheme in the HUD as well to unify the game's UI element colors, also improving various things along the way.

  • Header text (Game tips, Lap time, Split time, etc...) is smaller and has been moved up, it no longer obstructs your view
  • HUD is using Undercover Apt UI's orange and yellow color scheme
  • HUD is accented with gradients, including all of the bars
  • Minimap is white with a subtle black backdrop
  • Speedometer gauge has a subtle black backdrop
  • Race now button is more transparent

And JUST maybe...

3) Event markers on radar (just dunno the proper icons for it)

Now, all this mod needs are 2 things and would call it perfect:

1) Induction pressure meter (probably suitable below speedometer, between NOS and Zone lower ends).
2) A color switch for main gauge needle (preferrably into green) when getting into the right RPM ranges, for a Perfect Launch in start line.

After doing some troubleshooting, using the improved gamepad support from the Generic Fix causes the error I have described below, it only works with ImproveGamepadSupport = 0

Mod shows as correctly installed but the tachometer still shows cyan outline and some other HUD elements just have a white outline while everything else has changed...

Combine this with Beta Visuals and a better handling and you basically get Undercover the way it was always meant to be played
Good mod
