abandoned. PACK [beta ps2 vinyls] (Part_1)

v.3.0 is out!
-added the promo "OCTO" vinyl
-fixed crucial mistakes on the visibility of all vinyls
-cleaned up a lot of messy/trashy stuff
-added ps2 demo screenshots
-updated car presets after watching another 1001 found hidden footage of the game
-updated the download links
- everything is brought to it's final order

This is the ultimate set of NFSU2 ps2 demo (beta) vinyls (Part_1). They were dumped out of the game executable by "Ninja Ripper" and crafted in "Adobe Photoshop" to get a 1 to 1 copy of their console counterparts, having been tested for eternity whatever.
Some time ago after the previous release, the vinyls were very very raw and unpolished (especially at a close look) and it wasn't a complete set or a final touch after all.
At first I did craft every single dumped vinyl, and it was all set to be released, but then I decided to go even further and got them accurately mixed with their "kinda original" NFSU1 counterparts, to make 'em as originally sharp, but anti-aliased and correct as possible with all of the demo ups/downs/dimensions and positioning being kept in mind.
Not all the NFSU1 counterparts had a better quality than those having been buried in the NFSU2 demo, but some had. Some of the vinyls presented in the pack had a very bad, if not terrible, original quality while not having their counterparts, and so I could hardly solve the puzzle from pieces. But in the end I did.
All of the vinyls are now made matte, in order to comply with beta screenshots or the intro of the game, and because they would otherwise get hardly visible on those paint types used in promo materials.
Here's a quick look on how all in-game vinyls could have looked like with a metallic or powder coating car paint type and different level of LOD implemented on the "OCTO" sample, comparing with the finalized modded (PROMO) version of mine on the right:

Anyways, let's get straight to business.

INSTALLATION

============

Add the vinyl (.dds) along with it's mask by the use of NFS_TexEd or BinTex (will invert colors). Replace any unique (custom) vinyl you want or use prompted numbers.

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––-

Installing Vinyls manual (example):

1 - Download the archive and extract it.

2 - Open NFS_TexEd or BinTex

3 - Load the proper VINYLS.BIN file from your NFSU2 installation folder. The readme or the website you downloaded it from usually will have the information on which car the vinyl is for.

4 - Select an appropriate entry for the vinyl. The readme may have a recommended slot to use. If you don't know what you are doing, use the recommended one!

5 - Click on Texture->Import, and select the DDS file for the vinyl. (There are 2 DDS files, use the one WITHOUT the mask in the name)

6 - Repeat STEP 5 for the MASK DDS.

7 - Click on File->Save.

8 - Run the game.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

There were not just hours, but years spent on investigation of all the cut stuff and on how to port everything to the PC. There was also a paid software involved. You could have seen the draft version of dem vinyls in NFSU2 Customization plus mod a long time ago. Since that time onwards, the pack has been improved in its quality drastically and hence I am finally proud to release it in here.
The pack is still absolutely free for download. But, if you appreciate my time spending, you can buy me a coffee by using the "All-in-one download".

There are 2 options of DOWNLOAD inside the archive:
1. All-in-one download with benefits included:

1.5 Savegames with presets used
1.6 The collection of NFSU2 demos
Bonus: signature manual on making jaggy vinyls anti-aliased. How to make 'em matte

2. Separate files downloads

@zarus1 I could potentially add signposts if I planned. But for adding districts I would have to gain profound programming skills.

@RKBDI, which vinyl exactly out of the pack were you not able to download? Tell me, so I could check.
