NFS Rivals Framerate Unlocker

This plugin aims to unlock Need for Speed Rivals' framerate above 30 FPS while keeping the gameplay intact. Older methods involving solely launch commands caused major gameplay issues that this mod seeks to correct.
Source code is available here.

Installation

  • Open Origin/EA App and navigate to NFS Rivals' game properties, then go to the advanced launch options.
  • Pick Need for Speed Rivals (x64) from the dropdown, as this mod only works with the 64-bit version of the game.
  • Copy these commands into the command line arguments box:
    -disable-client-correction false -Client.VisualFrameInterpolation true -GameTime.MaxVariableFps 200 -RenderDevice.VsyncEnable 0 -Ant.InterpolatePoses false

  • Feel free to change GameTime.MaxVariableFps to whatever value above 30 FPS you want, and you can also remove RenderDevice.VsyncEnable 0 if you prefer vsync to be enabled.
  • Copy the contents of this mod's archive to NFS Rivals' root directory.
  • Download the latest version of Frosty Mod Manager from here, launch it, and add NFS Rivals as a game. Then go to File->Pack->Import, and import RivalsUnlocked.fbpack from the `Scripts` folder in your Rivals directory. Click Apply Mods(s), and from there you should be able to launch the game through Frosty with everything working as intended.

The game works for a moment but then it straight up crashes, and sometimes it crashes as soon as the press -- to continue prompt is supossed to appear. I followed the instructions but nothing seems to solve it, why is that??

sorry for the crooked English, I don't know it well, so I use a translator

Anyway, I found a way to fix it, but when you drive a lot, there will be a sign near the car showing what your speed was when you passed the radar, it does not stay there forever, it stays there for a couple of seconds and disappears
-Client.VisualFrameInterpolation true -GameTime.MaxVariableFps 70 -RenderDevice.VsyncEnable 0 -Ant.InterpolatePoses false
here is the parameter

Idk how to leave a comment on github (if it's even possible) but this works INCREDIBLY well. Like damn, I'm super impressed. Running 120 fps and never noticed anything visually wrong.
There is one (1) bug and it's the engine startup audio, when you spawn from a garage and start your car, but that's a very minor bug. Everything else seems to work great. Well done mate.
