NFS Rivals Framerate Unlocker

This plugin aims to unlock Need for Speed Rivals' framerate above 30 FPS while keeping the gameplay intact. Older methods involving solely launch commands caused major gameplay issues that this mod seeks to correct.
Source code is available here.

Installation

  • Open Origin/EA App and navigate to NFS Rivals' game properties, then go to the advanced launch options.
  • Pick Need for Speed Rivals (x64) from the dropdown, as this mod only works with the 64-bit version of the game.
  • Copy these commands into the command line arguments box:
    -disable-client-correction false -Client.VisualFrameInterpolation true -GameTime.MaxVariableFps 200 -RenderDevice.VsyncEnable 0 -Ant.InterpolatePoses false

  • Feel free to change GameTime.MaxVariableFps to whatever value above 30 FPS you want, and you can also remove RenderDevice.VsyncEnable 0 if you prefer vsync to be enabled.
  • Copy the contents of this mod's archive to NFS Rivals' root directory.
  • Download the latest version of Frosty Mod Manager from here, launch it, and add NFS Rivals as a game. Then go to File->Pack->Import, and import RivalsUnlocked.fbpack from the `Scripts` folder in your Rivals directory. Click Apply Mods(s), and from there you should be able to launch the game through Frosty with everything working as intended.

Hey,I installed this mod,and although it works great for the most part, there is a bug where if you start speeding, your driver and steering wheel models clip out of the car.Is there a fix for this?

I tried reinstalling but it just keeps on crashing. Everything worked fine before I turned on the framerate unlocker so I presume some command on it broke the game (Deleted the save game and settings after reinstalling just to be sure). Any tips on erasing the whole thing so I can get the game working again?

The game worked fine for the first hour or so until the camera zoomed in massively and reduced my FOV. While I could live with that, the game frequently crashes out of nowhere whenever I'm driving out in freeroam. I play with RIvals+ so I thought it was a compatibility issue and disabled it, but the problems remained. I tried turning off all the mods and removing the commands to see if my game would run pure vanilla, but now it just keeps crashing consistently and doesn't work anymore.

The game gets 120 PFS now, great, but my game now has no car sound or any kind of noise apart from music and the UI, and my driver just clips out of the car, and the camera starts rising and its really akward playing like this, Please fix
