Car Tuning Tweaks
Mass: Multiple cars in the game, especially the Lambos and Ferraris, have a weight that's lower than the actual curb weight. In some instances, it appears that the developers were simply given the dry weight (vehicle weight without fluids) by the manufacturer and just used that. Other times they just seem to be off by a bit. I imagine that since many of the cars were new at the time of the game's release that the manufacturers provided early estimates, so it's normal for these to be off a bit.
Front weight bias: While looking into car masses, I also found that some of the cars had slightly incorrect weight bias numbers. These were corrected whenever I found info that didn't align with what's in the game.
Tire Size/Track Width: Many cars in the game have incorrect tire sizes, sometimes by a large margin. The developers also seem to count the entire width of both tires when calculating track width (it's supposed to be between the center line of each tire), so I also updated those values if I changed the tires. Most cars have smaller tires, so you may notice less grip in the rear.
Gear Change Time: I was able to dig up info on shift times for some of the cars in the game, and there were a bunch that varied from what was listed in the game files. Some of the manual-equipped cars, for example, had times that were way faster than what a human can achieve in a road car.
Everyone is free to use my changes as they wish. Integrate them into other mods, change it more if you find better info, etc.
Install using Frosty Mod Manager. I've included both the fbproject file along with a pdf listing the specific changes.
