HD Skydome Pack

WARNING: Requires your game to be unpacked using UCP, otherwise this can't be installed. WARNING, Windows 11 has some issues with installing UCP, it works for me and im on Windows 11 but it can fail to install, not sure how or why.
Note: Download file has a README.txt file with the actual download on my Google Drive as the whole pack itself is 2GB compressed.

Hated how crusty, pixelated and noisy the original Skydomes textures looked in Shift so i AI Upscaled the textures and used a mixture of Denoising and Decompression Fixes along with upscaling the textures to the best quality possible that the engine could allow (before ultimately crashing at a certain file size). This resulted in much higher res looking skydomes although some skydome textures on certain tracks (Like Tokyo or Dubai) still have artifacts, noise or texture banding, i did the best i could to alleviate these issues but the original textures are so low quality and poorly compressed that it becomes really difficult to upscale these files (or the Upscaler ended up screwing up certain parts of the texture), however most of the upscaled skydomes turned out great. I could replace the problematic textures but i would be looking at hours of trying to figure what tracks use what texture files and i don't really have the time nor energy to do that at the moment. Included in the files are some minor Extra effects such as Upscaled Lens Flares for the Sun and Car Headlights plus Higher Res on-screen dirt blotches that appear on your HUD when in 3rd person.

Performance wise unless you're running on a potato, any modern computer with a modern GPU will run fine with this Mod installed.

Screenshots were taken with my own personal ReShade using RGTI.

That's an interesting way to install the UCP.

Im not entirely sure but I had the game itself opened when I unpacked with UCP, I think that's why it worked (I forgot to close it when I was doing the install process). Perhaps someone with Windows 11 could replicate how I did it. Again not entirely sure.

Talking about installing UCP on W11, how'd you do it? Some people just kept failing on that OS.
