Rivals Unleashed - Enhanced Difficulty
The 'Rivals Unleashed - Enhanced Difficulty' (formerly known as Enhanced Difficulty Selector) is a modscript designed to increase the game's difficulty, making replaying it more satisfying. It offers options to configure the blacklist and random runners, and I have worked to balance it as best as possible.
The mod can be uninstalled without issues and is easily configurable using a text editor (notepad). The SkillLevel parameter controls the bot's ability to avoid crashes, while 0xb1ece070 acts as an acceleration multiplier.
How To Install:
- 1) Download NFS-VltEd v4.6 or newer.
- 2) Launch NFS-VltEd.
- 3) File -> Import -> ModScript -> Rivals Unleashed - Enhanced Difficulty.nfsms
- 4) Set up and install.
- 5) File -> save.
The criteria I used to assign values to the blacklist racers was simply to use the best car available at the time. Then, when playing against the blacklist racer, I had to make sure they put up a fight, meaning they shouldn't fall behind and should only catch up to me or get ahead if I made mistakes. As for the random racers, I simply set values of 0.9 (bl1) and 0.09 (bl15) and filled in with appropriate intermediate values.
This mod is a bit tricky to configure, so I would need your help. If you notice anything negative about the mod, feel free to let me know in the comments so I can try to fix it :)
-------If you’ve tried the mod, I’d like you to tell me in which stages of the blacklist the random racers are harder or easier than expected. I’ll take note and try to adjust them so their difficulty is both challenging and fair according to the stage of the blacklist.----------
Do whatever you want with the mod, I didn't create the game or its codes, all I did was modify some values in NFS-VltEd to make the game the way I like it, and I'm just sharing it with you. I don't understand why that should have copyright.

Can you please make it to be imported with OGVI ?? Most new MW mods only get opened by OGVI so in order to import the new difficulty i need OGVI, please add OGVI as option to import.

@DeadKey It's strange that the game crashes because of the mod since I don't create new nodes or move them within the structure, I just modify what's already established and barely add a few fields that shouldn't spoil anything. The only thing the mod does is make the enemies crash less and reach their maximum speed faster (or something like that).

Hm, some races work, some not really. Game either crashes when starting the race or randomly while participating in a race.
