[NFSC] Cop Patrols Always Spawn
NFS Carbon: Police Patrols Always Spawn.
Mod by LFQZ92.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A small script which essentially makes it easer to get into a pursuit, but doesn't change any core pursuit mechanics.
- Police Patrol Vehicles can now spawn in Zone Heat 1.
- Increases Patrol Vehicle numbers (+1) for every other Zone Heat.
- An optional script that ONLY adds patrols to Zone Heat 1,
but doesn't change ANY values for all the other Zone Heats is also included.
Yes, it really is that simple, but it's a simple change that hopefully many will welcome.
It can often be a bit frustrating for those who have completed the career and just want to mess around with the cops,
but cannot find a single Patrol Car to save their life, as nearly every Zone on the map is Zone Heat 1 with the odd Zone Heat 2.
This makes it significantly easier to get into a pursuit while in free-roam, and is more a
Quality of Life change rather than any kind of major gameplay overhaul.
The mod was primarily designed around 1 Patrol Car in Zone Heat 1, and +1 for every other Zone Heat.
Some optional/fun Scripts for +2, +3, +4 and +5 are also included for those who want the streets to be crawling with PPD Units.
Not a fan of the changes? You can always Uninstall the mod at any time.
Pro tip: If You're playing a completely vanilla copy of NFSC, or playing on console, Police Patrols will always spawn
along the main highway that runs through the centre of the map, as this area is not a part of any Zone.
Carbon currently does not have the jump to pursuit mechanic from MW, so this will have to do.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Features:
Main Script:
- 1 Patrol Car in Zone Heat 1 and +1 for every other Zone Heat.
Optional/Fun Scripts:
- 2 Patrol Cars in Zone Heat 1 and +2 for every other Zone Heat.
- 3 Patrol Cars in Zone Heat 1 and +3 for every other Zone Heat.
- 4 Patrol Cars in Zone Heat 1 and +4 for every other Zone Heat.
- 5 Patrol Cars in Zone Heat 1 and +5 for every other Zone Heat.
- 1 Patrol Car in Zone Heat 1, other Zone Heats unchanged.
Uninstall/Revert Scripts
- Uninstall [Vanilla]
- Reverts changes to vanilla values.
- Uninstall [Revamped Pursuits]
- Reverts changes to Revamped Pursuits values for RP users.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mod IS compatible with:
- Vanilla NFSC
- Improvement Mod
- Endgame Mod
- World To Carbon (W2C)
- Changes will only affect the Carbon section of the map, as the MW section, the Central Highway for the Carbon map, and most connecting roads are unaffected by Zone Heat.
These regions will use the "NumPatrolCars" field, which can vary per Heat Level and is also used in MW.
- NFS Carbon Redux Mod
- Despite having Revamped Pursuits Pre-Installed, Redux by default, uses the vanilla patrol spawning (geoheatlevels) values.
- This mod shouldn't cause any instability issues with Redux, as it's only changing a few VLT values and not actually adding
anything on top everything included with Redux (for example, adding an extra addon car).
I've done some tests on Redux and haven't found any issues as of yet.
I don't really see how this could cause any issues with Redux, but please do let me know of any.
- Revamped Pursuits by Splash45:
- Patrol Units spawning in Heat Zone 1 is already a feature of Revamped Pursuits, albeit, with different values for other Zone Heat Levels.
- Mod IS compatible with Revamped Pursuits, but is not really needed.
- If you want to try out the other fun scripts while having Revamped Pursuits installed, you can.
- If you're not a fan of the changes, I've also included an Uninstall/Revert Script that has the default values for Revamped Pursuits,
So you can revert back to Revamped Pursuits' values at any time.
Mod IS NOT compatible with:
- Carbon Battle Royale (CBR)
*Newer versions of CBR entirely use Binary, so the mod cannot be installed.

- Exact VLT Values were used for the "Uninstall [Revamped Pursuits]" script so people using the mod can revert back at any time.
- Exact VLT Values are NOT used for ANY of the Install Scripts.
- Side note: I only found out that Revamped Pursuits even had the zone heat change after I had already done all the scripting.
- Once again, this was done to be considerate of RP users.
- If it really does end up being an issue, I can always remove the "Uninstall [Revamped Pursuits]" script.

- I'm always open to constructive feedback and suggestions, though I do ask you to be kind and respectful :)
