Challenge: Texas - Improved & Restored
Wonder no more! With VltEd, this unused cars can be restored. This mod aims to restore a couple of unused Battle Machine cars:
A Nissan 350Z, for drift events, and a VW Golf GTI, for drag events. Both cars were probably made to be used on Challenge: Texas (judging by their preset names in VltEd).
With that in mind, I made this mod to add (or replace, the choice is yours!) both a drift and a drag event to Challenge: Texas, by copying and modifying already existing events.
The addon version also increases the points needed to dominate the Challenge (and Ray Krieger's record), while also increasing the reward from 8500 to 10000.
There's also a script that fixes the car presets:
- Added the missing roll cage to the Grip 350Z, replacing a duplicated spoiler entry. Now the car uses the same spoiler as the AI Grip 350Z.
- Replaced the performance upgrades from the Drift 350Z with generic_packages.
- Added the missing aftermarket hood for the AI Drag Golf GTI.
- Reduced the engine package from the Drag Golf GTI from stage 2 to stage 1.
- Increased the nitrous package from the Drag Golf GTI from stage 1 to stage 2.
(This last two things ensures that the player can break the Drag record)
