This mod focuses on optimizing gameplay flow and correcting technical engine limitations to provide a cleaner and more direct experience. The core of the project is the Q.O.L module, which introduces the following improvements:

Performance & Flow: Removed the intro video, enabled instant vehicle loading in the garage, and increased respawn speed after crashing.
Visual Fixes: Removed film grain and police light lens flares. Mitigated the wheel blur visual bug and improved the garage’s Visual Environments.
Gameplay & Mechanics: Unlocked tuning for icon cars, removed crash cameras, and removed the repair icon at gas stations. Vehicle collision behavior has been recalibrated.
Audio & Effects: Expanded the general volume range (music and SFX), updated nitro and exhaust FX, and replaced the moon texture.

Additional Modules

CustomIA: Increases the general difficulty of the AI during races.
HeavyRain: Sets heavy rain as the persistent weather condition across most areas.
Only Scratches: Disables geometric body deformation from impacts while retaining the rendering for scratches and dirt accumulation.
RainU: Overhauls lens flare effects and textures for rain droplets on vehicle surfaces.

Note: The previous "Handling Overhauled" has been removed as a superior version has been implemented.
Overhauled Handling

Requires latest Frosty 1.0.6.2 or higher Frosty
How to install & use:
1. Download Frosty Mod Manager (Download latest version from github)
2. Download the mod
3. Extract the zip files
4. Open Frosty mod manager > Select NFS16 > Click on Add Mod(s) & import the NFSOverhauled.zip file
5. Click Launch Game from Frosty Mod Manager

I totally agree! I also love this game, and that's exactly why I always try to find some time to create content and keep it alive. The atmosphere is just unmatched. Thanks for the support!

Thanks for the update. Still the best looking NFS game. Night vibe is on another level so I always occasionally check to see if people are still interested in modding this game like you do.

Hi! Tonny, based on the info below, which mod is best suited for drift prestige? I've tried various mods and combinations, but I'm nowhere near gold. Curious about a modder opinion.

@FlashMode I do not recommend combining these two mods, as their parameters can overlap and conflict, compromising the overall handling experience.

What about your "Overhauled Handling" and this "NeedForSpeed Overhauled" they replacing each other or can/should they work together?

If replacing, then which better/more complex?
