Description
NFSMW Recompiled Vinyls is a game file mod which fills all the vinyl slots and optionally re-adds the cut vinyls for every tunable car.
To do that, the mod simply adds textures for these VINYL car part entries, for the cars which don't already have them:
- 01RAZORCALLAHAN - Used for Razor's 2005 Ford Mustang GT (S-197).
- 02TUROSATO - Bull's vinyl from BETA. (Yes, his 2004 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren had one.)
- 03RONNIEMCCREA - Used for Ronnie's 2004 Aston Martin DB9.
- 04JOEVEGA - Used for JV's 2003 Dodge Viper SRT-10 (ZB I).
- 05WESALLEN - Used for Webster's 2005 Chevrolet Corvette C6.
- 06HECTORDOMINGO - Used for Ming's 2003 Lamborghini Gallardo Coupé.
- 07KIRANAZAKATO - Used for Kaze's 2002 Mercedes-Benz CLK 500 (C209).
- 08JADEBARRETT - Used for Jewels' 2005 Ford Mustang GT (S-197).
- 09PIERREDUPONT - Used for Earl's 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII CT9A.
- 10KARLSMIT - Used for Baron's 2005 Porsche Cayman S (987C).
- 11LOUPARK - Used for Earl's 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT (4G).
- 12ISABELDIAZ - Used for Izzy's 2003 Mazda RX-8 (SE3P).
- 13VICTORVASQUEZ - Used for Vic's 1992 Toyota Supra RZ (Mk4).
- 14VINCEKILIC - Used for Taz's 1999 Lexus IS300/Toyota Altezza JCE10.
- 15TONYHO - Used for Sonny's 2004 Volkswagen Golf GTI (Mk5).
- BMW_24 - Unused Motorsport vinyl for 2001 BMW M3 GTR E46 GT ALMS.
- BODY08 - The paintable body vinyl with spider nets. For some reason, EA didn't make this vinyl available for all cars.
- COPGTO - Unused vinyl texture for State Pursuit Vehicles. EA probably wanted to make it a vinyl for them, but they ended up making the texture a preset skin.
- CROSS - Unused vinyl texture for Cross.
- CROSS_HENCHMEN - Unused vinyl texture for Federal Pursuit Vehicles.
- PSRTEST - Hero vinyl. It has the famous blue stripes for most of the cars. Only for RX8 and RX8SPEEDT, it has Mia's gray stripes.
If you choose to add entries for cut vinyls and fix the names for existing ones, these vinyls will be available as well:
- 09JADEBARRETT - Jewels' vinyl from BETA.
- BODYFLAME09 - A cut body flame vinyl. Vinyl texture file for the 350Z, which is cut (CARS\350Z\VINYLS.BIN), still has it - so we were able to restore it.
- PRECOM_FLAME01 - Upscaled version of Precompiled Flame 1 vinyl from a car-specific unused texture file (CARS\CARNAME\PREVINYL.BIN).
- PRECOM_FLAME02 - Upscaled version of Precompiled Flame 2.
- PRECOM_TEST - Upscaled version of Precompiled Test vinyl.
NOTE: The vinyls are completely untouched. But strangely**, some vinyls may fit the car you're using.
This mod doesn't aim fixing the fitting of the vinyls - it only aims making them available.
* = For cars which don't get used by Blacklist bosses. Every boss uses the car decreases this count by 1.
** = If the UV mapping is close enough.

Where should I go?
First, let's select a resolution:
- 512x - Default vinyl resolution of the vanilla game. Normal quality. Even a potato can handle it.
- 1024x - Vinyl resolution of the X360 version of the game. High quality. Requires a high-spec PC.
If you're unsure, select 512x.
Now, let's select an installation method:
- Simple - Big file size. Takes 2-3 minutes to install. DOESN'T REQUIRE anything additional.
- Advanced - Smaller file size. Takes 30* minutes for 512x / 150* minutes for 1024x to install. REQUIRES an older version of Recompiled Vinyls or High Quality Vinyls by nfsu360 (609 MB) for 1024x resolution.
If you're unsure, select Simple Installation.
* = On AMD FX-8320 & 24 GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM. It may vary according to your PC specs.
After you have made your decisions, download one of the four packages available:
- 512x Simple Installation - .7z, LZMA2 with Ultra compression (Archive size: ~71,3 MB; Extracted: ~108 MB)
- 512x Advanced Installation - .zip, Deflate with Standard compression (Archive size: ~1 MB; Extracted: ~26,1 MB)
- 1024x Simple Installation - .7z, LZMA2 with Ultra compression (Archive size: ~724 MB; Extracted: ~1,46 GB)
- 1024x Advanced Installation - .zip, Deflate with Standard compression (Archive size: ~11 MB; Extracted: ~374 MB)
Now, follow the instructions in the package you have downloaded to install the mod.

Technical Information
I exported all required vinyl files using Binary by MaxHwoy.
For most of the cars, importing the new textures and saving the file is enough.
But some lacked lots of vinyls, so I decided to rehash them from the closest car possible and import the textures they already had on top of it.
Note: I have created some quick & dirty batch files to automate the end script creation process for adding the vinyls and rehashing the texture packs.
They aren't included in this pack, but you can contact me if you want to have them.
Rehashing is done by changing texture names in the vinyl texture packs, according to this format:
Vinyl Itself >> CARNAME_VINYLNAME.dds
Vinyl Mask >> CARNAME_VINYLNAME_MASK.dds
CARNAME must be replaced with the car you want to use.
VINYLNAME is the texture name for the VINYL car part entry, which can be seen in the name section in Debug Car Customize, while tuning VINYL_LAYER0 slot.
You can also use the provided "NFSMW Vinyl Texture Names.txt" file in the archive, to see all possible vinyl names.
And I used Binary again, to rebuild the vinyl texture packs.
Finally, to make it into a simple installation: I've ran the 512x Advanced Installation script on a vanilla copy of NFSMW and took the files from there. For 1024x, I've installed High Quality Vinyls by nfsu360 and ran the 1024x Advanced Installation script on it.

Hi nlgzrgn,Seems that this mod does not support beta textures pack by 379Felipe. I tried to replace Jewels' BMW vinyl with her beta vinyl but it says "import texture is 8 bit while expected texture is 32 bit". Is there a way to get over this?

@voidturbulence, hi! Make sure that you have downloaded 1024x full pack v1.0.0.400. It should have a TEXTURES.BIN file in the CARS folder. Replace it with yours and the vinyls should work just fine.voidturbulence (July 03, 2019 @ 04:12)
