MW H-Shifter

H-Shifter emulation for NFS:MW 2005

Number keys 0-7 (NOT NumPad!) are used to switch to a respective gear.

This can be utilized with hardware H-Shifters, such as Logitech Driving Force Shifter, by mapping the shifter's gears to respective keys (0-7).

Installation:
Place inside 'scripts' folder in the main game directory, or inject as a DLL.

Only 1.3 Black Edition is supported.

Since the car will already be in 1st gear when you are stationary, you can simply press the downshift button again to put it into the neutral position. The car won't move; the engine will just rev.

The car will continue coasting at that speed completely silently.

Also, if you press the accelerator while stationary in this position, the engine revs just like it does in neutral. So I believe this position is actually the real neutral gear in the game.

When the car is in 1st gear and you press Ctrl to downshift, it goes into the position shown in this screenshot: https://ibb.co/V06LX9ng. The engine sound cuts out and the car just coasts silently, exactly like it does when the transmission is in neutral. I think assigning this position as Neutral would be perfect. To test it, try driving at high speed, quickly shifting the car into 1st gear without stopping, then press Ctrl once more to downshift into the position shown in the screenshot.
