Reimagined

• SUVs: This forgotten class was given new engines, their own heats levels and even a personality! While normal units will use their speed and group strategies to take racers down, SUVs will chaotically use their brutal force and weight to slow you down until you get immobilized and arrested. Make sure to bring a very fast and/or heavy car to beat them!
  
• Secret Service: A whole new tier beyond federal, made specially for veterans looking for an unfair challenge. Ranging from heats 8 to 10, they consist of the unmarked police units, except outrageously upgraded from their counterparts to reach levels never seen before! Hopefully, this will make most consider using the heat reducing features the game has again.
  

AI

• Smart Cops: Every driver will now give their very best to get you from the get go. No more stalling, slow spawning or pretending they can't see you.
  
• Proactive Cross: Tired of having him just following you around and observing from afar until you destroy him with a pursuit breaker? Well, fear no more, as with this mod he too will do everything he can to get you, including repairing his vehicle more often, taking part in the chase and even in roadblocks!
  

Tuning

• Marked cars had their resistance stats upgraded to match their vanilla unmarked counterparts stats.
  
• Every car has had their performance improved.
  

Other

• Improved blacklist heat increase speeds with career mode in mind by implementing the following caps: 360s (City), 480s (State), 600s (Federal, unchanged), 720s, 840s, 960s (Secret Service).
  
• Re-balanced unit worth values so that reaching Razor's bounty within a single run isn't as easy as before.
  
• The police are no longer called if you are not doing anything wrong.
  
• As usual with pursuit mods, in-race pursuits was set to be as difficult as free roam pursuits.

Installation

• Open NFS-VltEd
  
• If you haven't set it up, the program will ask where your game files are so it can access them.
  
• Go to File > Import > ModScript or just press Ctrl + i.
  
• Select the VeteranPursuits.nfsms file and click "Install".

Bugs/Limitations

• Spawning head-on ram rhinos alongside patrol light/heavy SUVs causes the game to slowly stop spawning the latter altogether, so mixing up these rhinos with head-on ram rhinos wasn't possible.
  
• The new rhino AI causes head-on ram units to spawn on escape mode, so in the levels that feature it (2, 4, 6, 10), they were disabled to preserve more roadblock slots instead.
  
• You might see more than 1 cross in a roadblock.
  
• (Visual) The helicopter icon may stay invisible for the most part.
