NFS 2015 Handling Overhaul

NFS 2015 ‘Handling Overhaul’ is here! This mod reworks 2015’s entire handling system to offer a more grounded driving experience. This mod, while similar to the NFS Heat handling overhaul is generally faster, so that you can still attempt to beat prestige mode and be able to compete in speed lists.

You can view the handling mod in action in the videos below.

==SUPER IMPORTANT INFORMATION==

For every car you own and drive, especially if it is stock, go into the tuning menu and turn off the AI Handling Toggle!!!

Tuning will now severely impact how your car drives, so it is a good idea to tweak your setup before pushing it hard on the streets of Ventura Bay. There is more information on these tuning changes below.

This mod will not work alongside Car Replacement Mods as the handling is tied to each individual vehicle.

This mod has been designed for the English version of the game, any other language is not supported and will display the wrong names for tuning sliders and upgrade parts however they will still function as intended.

==Handling Overview==

Brake-to-drift has been removed from the game, (if you followed the instructions above!!!). Driving techniques from more conventional racing titles can be used. Proper braking zones and racing lines are required to take corners at the highest speed, and drifting requires throttle management and counter steer to hold the slide. This time around the cars can go incredibly fast, both in the straights and corners, so you’ll get to satisfy your need for speed.

==Upgrade Changes==

Every handling related upgrade part and tuning option has been changed or updated. Many upgrades in the base game either did very little or affected a completely unrelated part of the car. This mod fixes a lot of these issues and offers new ways to tune and customize your car setup.

Final Drive has been swapped into the upgrade menu. This adds a tuning slider for you to modify. This replaces the default game behaviour where it adds extra gears to your car.

Additionally, differentials will now offer RWD and AWD drivetrain swaps for you to make even further changes to how your vehicle drives.

Some cars have had their power output adjusted, for game balancing reasons.

==Tuning Changes==

A significant portion of the tuning sliders have been replaced with new options.

- RPM Limit Cut Time: This controls how fast the rev limiter cycles, which can change how aggressive your car sounds. It can also give an inconsequential power boost.
- Downforce Offset: Allows you to choose which part of the car receives more downforce. Front offset will result in oversteer, Rear offset will result in more understeer.
- AI Handling Toggle: This is necessary for the AI to work in the mod, so make sure you switch it off otherwise your car will drive strangely.
- ABS: This lets you to choose if you want to prevent brake lock up at the cost of stronger brake performance.
- Air Conditioning: Lets you adjust the temperature in the cabin of the car for improved driver comfort.
- Differential: Allows you to modify differential lock, locking the diff will make the car more prone to oversteer, while opening the diff will allow it to corner better.
- Brake Strength: Allows you to adjust the front and rear brake strength independently. Having more front brake strength than at the rear will allow for a front bias, while -having more rear brake strength will offer rear bias.
- Suspension Stiffness: Tunes the overall stiffness of your springs, dampers and sway-bars, a stiffer setup will improve the vehicles handling but may have an impact on how it behaves on bumpier surfaces.
- Final Drive: Allows you to adjust the potential top speed of the car. Longer final drive will allow for a higher top speed, at the cost of acceleration, a shorter final drive will do the opposite.

== 3.0.1 ==

- Reduced Transmission Inertia.

- Improved B2D handling for AI cars.

- Adjusted suspension values for better bump absorption and help with bottoming out.

- Fixed the BMW E46 M3 still using values from the previous version of the mod.

== 3.0.2 ==

- Fixed the GT3 RS, M4, M2 not using the correct amount of gears.

- Removed additional files related to crash cams, they should be gone now.

- Modified the Brake Strength sliders so that tuning the car for Grip in the Handling Style slider increases brake strength instead of reducing it.

- AWD Drivetrain is now more rear wheel biased.

- Changed some lines of text.

- Added a Camera Overhaul mod as a optional mod.

Honestly, I don't really know if the Mod installed correctly or not, I'll do more testing later, but although the handling feels more responsive, turning has become more complex even at low speeds and I could barely get the vehicle to drift, and when I did, it felt like going back to the Original Game Physics. I hope that later I get better feelings with the mod and that the impressions of this first attempt were only due to a problem with the installation.

I just tried the Mod, and instantly felt that there were less Tuning Options compared to the "Remastered" Mod. Handling feels somewhat better than "Remastered", except at High Speed. I don't know if it's due to incorrect car setup or if it's intentional, but the faster I went, the more unstable the car became. The game Feels More Frenetic with this Mod, Way More Arcadish than the "Remastered" Mod, but I'm not Entirely Satisfed with this mod. It's like trading tuning and control for better feel and reaction.

The "Remastered" Mod gives the ability to swap the Gearbox of any Car, but dunno if it reeplaces the game already existing Upgrades or if they are Addon.

Yeah the mod that came with UNITE was ours but it hasn't been updated in a very long time so this is a improved version of it, it wasn't really made to be used with anything specific so you can use it with whatever you want to use and as for the transmission customisation, there is none aside from the final drive tuning, while i'd like add the option to put in custom gearboxes i don't know if adding extra upgrades like that is possible in this game.

This looks Great, Aren't these the same Handling Reworks that came with the "Project UNITE" Mod?
Also, I know that this mod can now be used Independently of any other mod, but it's Supposed to be combined with the "Evolution Works" Mod, Right?
Lastly, this mod adds Transmision Gears Customization? Is posible to Swap a 5-Speed Gearbox to a 6-Speed one, for example?

I think with this, I'm Finally going to leave the forsaken "Remastered" Mod. I'm tired of waiting an Update that seems to never come out.
