Version : 2.0
Unlocks various locations previously blocked by gates, barriers, and invisible walls across the map.
TWEAKS - Modifications
Several modifications were made to make the new areas accessible
- Terrain : all basic map surfaces and assets are now completely drivable
- Environment : barriers have been removed when they blocked entrances
- Invisible walls : the world now only relies on the raw asset collisions
- Restrictions : out of bounds rules have been removed in the new locations
ZONES - Unlocked areas
Non-exhaustive list of areas that can now be explored
- Lagoon Trail : house driveway and stairs (Rivals E3)
- Gullwing Drive : amusement park (Rivals E3)
- Eastwood Rise : unfinished bridge (Interstate 4)
- Laguna Rise : farm surroundings and wind turbines area
- Last Stallion Ranch : hangar and other entrances on the road shoulders
- Grapevine Drive : lake, house driveways and house interior
- Pacific Woods : logging site and other entrances on the road shoulders
- Kingfisher Road : lodge, hideout surroundings and big jump
- Interstate 4 : abandoned farm and unused jump in the desert
- Base Point Drive : entrances on the road shoulders
- Coyote Pass : mine surroundings and road shoulders
- Fork Tongue Trail : hideout surroundings
- Gullwing Drive : easy out of bounds access
- Sunset Tunnel : entrance and easy out of bounds access
- West Ridge Drive : easy out of bounds access

Several add-ons and variants are available
- Open Areas (main) : fully opens more than 40 areas in Redview County
- Show Area Locations : adds landmarks on the world map to show the locations of the areas
- Clear Pier Entrance : removes the pier entrance to visually open the area
- Restore Parked SUVs : visually restores the SUVs which got removed to open more areas
- World Streaming Disabler : disables the map streaming to let you to venture past the OOB softlock
- Open Areas E3 : fully opens 3 areas which were supposedly drivable in Rivals E3
INSTALLATION - Quick guide & requirements
This mod requires Frosty Toolsuite to work
- Download Frosty Toolsuite
- Open Frosty Mod Manager
- Click on "Scan for games"
- Double click on "Need for Speed Rivals"
- Click on "Add mods" and select the fbmod file

Before going out of bounds, start an event. In case you're stuck, you can then teleport yourself to that event via EasyDrive. Even if the terrain is now drivable, stay close to the main roads to avoid softlocks. Your vehicle won't reset if you visit the newly unlocked areas, however No Reset by Grabuss is required to explore the rest of the map.
