underground2.net Neo Alpha Installer (WIP v0.02)
underground2.net is the largest **lore-friendly** mod for Need for Speed: Underground 2. The project expands and improves upon customization features and gameplay.

v0.02:
- Added new License Plates.
Completely redesigned license plates by Arti Rua. More to come later.
- Added Audio Components.
No new items yet, but the naming was improved in the Sony amplifiers and so was the general player experience.
You are no longer able to have the Alienware Laptop Open in cars where it would clip through the trunk or where the laptop was mounted nonsensically.
The GameCube would clip through the trunk in the Miata, so it was restricted to only some slots.
- Added Exhausts.
All the usual exhausts you are already familiar with, and a few completely new ones have been added.
This will be improved in later updates.
- Added new HUDs and color choices.
From the original underground2.net mod release. Complete with new colors to choose from and updated UI. Slightly improved names.
- Added Nitrous Purge.
From the original underground2.net mod release. It adds colored options for single big wheel purge. (1 purge line per wheel).
- Added new Showroom.
- Added HD Textures
From the original underground2.net mod release, with some size optimization included.
v0.01 (previously called Improved Neon & New LED + Puddle Lights - v1.0):
- Improved ground textures for vanilla underglow options.
- New Orange and Electric Blue colors.
Orange makes a come back from Underground 1, and Electric Blue is a more true-to-life neon blue option, as seen in the 2000s.
- Improved neon bar textures by making them emulate a 'bloom' look.
This also affects engine and trunk neon options. The light bar size appears to be slightly smaller than vanilla, as I found them to be unrealistically thick.
- Completely new LED underglow option with solid, pulsating, and color shifting variants!
These LED options do not have visible neon bars, because LED strips are much smaller and thus less likely to be visible protruding out of the bodywork.
- Completely new puddle lights option with full colored versions and side-only variants in a 5 LED and 3 LED pattern.
The side variants are only available in 3 unique shades of white: cool white, regular white, warm white.

You need a game install of Need for Speed Underground 2 with the 1.2 patch.
--[REQUIRED MODS]--
- You need Binary to install it.
- You need Unlimiter v4 in order for this mod to work properly. Download v4 here: https://github.com/nlgxzef/NFSU2Unlimiter/releases
- You need Extra Options in order for this mod to work properly. Download here: https://github.com/nlgxzef/NFSU2Unlimiter/releases
--[INSTALLATION]--
1 - Install NFSU2 Unlimiter & Extra Options & Binary.
2 - Extract the mod folder to any location.
3 - Run Binary as an Administrator.
4 - Click on User Mode (the left option).
5 - the Binary file selector, go to the extracted mod folder and select "Neons Installer.end"
6 - Select the NFSU2 directory you want to install the mod to.
7 - When Binary asks to save files press Yes.
8 - Inside your game's scripts folder you will find NFSU2ExtraOptions.ini file. In it, change "NeonBrightness" value to "1.75", otherwise the neon bars will be too thin.
9 - The mod should now be installed.
