Description:

This mod project aims to replace low quality unlicensed traffic cars in NFSMW with their licensed and higher quality counterparts.

We have a list of the new cars below:
List format: Car folder name (XNAME) | Car | Converted From | Description

- TAXI | 1999 Lexus IS200 / Toyota Altezza (XE10) | NFSMW | Taxi (Challenge Series)
- TRAFTAXI | 1999 Lexus IS200 / Toyota Altezza (XE10) | NFSMW | Taxi (Traffic)
- TRAF4DSEDA | 1999 Lexus IS200 / Toyota Altezza (XE10) | NFSMW | Sedan A (Traffic)
- TRAF4DSEDB | 2000 Audi A4 (B5) | Forza Motorsport 4 | Sedan B (Traffic)
- TRAFCOURT | 2000 Audi A4 (B5) | Forza Motorsport 4 | Courtesy Car (Traffic)
- TRAFVANB | 1982 Ford E-150 Econoline | GTA: SA (Modded) | Van (Traffic)
- TRAFNEWS | 1982 Ford E-150 Econoline | GTA: SA (Modded) | News Van (Traffic)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Features:

- Untouched performance data.
- New frontend logos and car names (Only works with newly created save games)
- Vanilla "Paul" driver model from NFS Most Wanted.
- LOD parts (For IS200 and A4)
- Working brakelights on/off textures. (Only for IS200)
- Source files w/ a customized version of Geometry Compiler (Modding Resource)

Note: Customizations are cut on purpose to lower the model size and poly count.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Known Issues:

- Cars don't have brake calipers and discs are attached to wheels. That's a limitation of traffic cars.
- Please report if you see any other issues.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Installation:

IMPORTANT: If you have NFSMW Mod Loader, remove it. This mod WILL BREAK Mod Loader compatibility.

1) Create backups of these files:
- Frontend: FrontA.bun
- Global: Attributes.bin, FE_Attrib.bin, Gameplay.bin, Gameplay.lzc
- Languages: Whole folder

2) Install NFSMW Unlimiter:
https://nfsmods.xyz/mod/688

3) Install the "_LicensedTrafficCars-Setup.nfsms" using NFS-VltEd:
1) Download NFS-VltEd and install it:
https://nfs-tools.blogspot.com/p/downloads.html
2) Open NFS-VltEd. When the main window appears, select File > Open from the menu bar.
3) A new dialog will appear. Choose your game installation directory.
4) Select File > Import > ModScript from menu bar, or press "Ctrl+I".
5) Select the "_LicensedTrafficCars-Setup.nfsms" from the dialog and click OK.
6) Mod script installation dialog will appear. Click Install to install the mod.
7) Save the files by selecting File > Save from menu bar, or pressing "Ctrl+S".
8) Quit the tool.
- Note: It's recommended to reinstall all the cars with every new update. But when you do that, VltEd may show some errors. You can safely ignore them.

4) Add other required stuff in game files using ReCompiler by MWInside:
1) I have included a version of it, but download the latest version from the link, just to be on the safe side:
https://mega.nz/#F!6WhVjL4D!yB6lgaNAgYMSKYDne3XOuA
1a) If you downloaded the newest version from the link, extract "NfSMW - ReCompiler.exe" from it into "ReCompiler" folder.
1b) If you used the tool before, copy the contens of "ReCompiler" folder into yours.
2) Run the tool using "NfSMW - ReCompiler.exe" file.
3) From the menu bar, click these options. (Wait for the notification sound, it indicates that the operation is done.)
- FRONTEND > FRONTEND
- ADD > LANGUAGE
4) The files should get created in the folder you used the tool.
5) Quit the tool.
6) Copy the files into corresponding locations in your NFSMW Installation directory.
- FRONTEND: FrontA.BUN
- LANGUAGES: Chinese.bin, Danish.bin, Dutch.bin, English.bin, etc.
7) Open FRONTEND\FrontA.BUN using NFS-TexEd v1.1 and save it without making any changes. (If you don't do it, the logos will be invisible.)

5) If this is the first mod you are installing, copy the contents of "Unlocked Memory Files" folder into your NFSMW Installation directory.

6) Run your game and create a new save game.
- Note: Only "Challenge series" versions of the cars are added to the car lot.
- If you want to see their "Traffic" versions as well, try enabling "ShowAllCarsInFE" option from Extra Options before this step.

7) Enjoy your new cars!

Hi. Can you rebuil this mod for binary? There some conflicts with modern car mods, like : "NOTE: If you have a FrontA.bun file with a size bigger than 0, please delete it to make the car logos work properly."

BetaTester (October 14, 2021 @ 22:18)
Thanks for the input ... but the idea is to replace all the traffic ... cars, trucks, vans, etc.
different cars than the ones we use to play.

Is there a way to put these cars on the "Debug " menu of Quick race or at least hide the taxi on "Stock"?

I'd like to have it on that menu or "Bonus" because it would look like something official. I also added the "unlockable police cars" mod so if you can help me with this it would be amazing.
