Personally, I’ve always felt that Black Box left out so many incredible bands and heavier musical styles that would have fit the game like a glove. Certain tracks from the original soundtrack—like "Black Betty", "Nobody" or even the famous "Riders on the Storm" remix—no longer do it for me. They just don't capture that intense, raw feeling of speed and street racing aggression that the game truly deserves.
That’s why I created this definitive music selection. Step-by-step, as if I were curating the soundtrack back at Black Box, I used Artificial Intelligence as a music discovery tool alongside my personal taste to carefully select every single track. Most importantly: all songs were chosen specifically to match the era and release window of the game (2004 and earlier), making sure every riff and heavy beat feels 100% authentic to the original vibe.
