Update 5/28/2022


  • Updated Russian Body and Title Font with proper glyphs instead of an AI upscale.
  • Added remaining characters in both language's font sheets.
  • Updated font textures to include a limited number of mipmaps. (Nothing too blurry nor too sharp for readability).
  • Remade the Turbonetics Aftermarket logo proper after some digging. (Now including BG flames and cursive Racing text)
  • New Rival portraits. (Source images thanks to elaymm4. In-game yellow versions were modified by me.)
  • Grit style selection. Choose between Custom or Vanilla AI upscaled. (Upscaled images thanks to elaymm4.)
  • Refreshed PhotoFinish textures. (Source images thanks to elaymm4. Tollbooth variant was edited.)
  • Refreshed Mustang GT & Ford GT secondary logos.
  • Lowenhart Brand logo redone. Text logo from Ariso. Lion head redrawn by me.
  • Non-UI textures have been removed. Might be seperate mod in the future.

Update 6/12/2021


  • Redrawn ALL TrackMaps again. This will minimize the amount of green/purple caused by DXT compression and will give them the grey-scale backgrounds they were intended to have.

Description



UHUD is a recreating of NFSMW 2005's UI from scratch using mostly vector materials, with original texture proportions to help keep the same look.
Images/Textures with photographic-like details are most likely AI upscaled otherwise.

Yeah this sounds great, it's at least worth a try to see how they turn out.

I'll go ahead and add that the minimaps won't be affected by said discoloration if you were wondering.

For Chris and JOHN30011887, I am aware and it'll change in the next update. I believe cause it's actually that the maps were put in ARGB at the time. The update will include the maps changed back to DXT3. What this means is that the lag from looking at the maps before racing will be gone, but they wont have the exact colors because of that dds compression. I hope this is a fair trade-off.

Actually I've found the issue, the lag only happens when using a gamepad. Using the gamepad makes the map load again each time a selection is made, but while using the mouse it doesn't load the map again it keeps the map but just moves location. Interesting.

1080ti, 7600K @3.8GHz and 16gb RAM for me, so I shouldn't be having any issues. Are you sure you tested the right menu? I'm only talking about the pursuit milestones tab specifically, where it has to load the map each time you select a pursuit milestone. It's only a very small delay, but it's noticeable.
