PROSTREET CAR SOUND OVERHAUL



This project aims to fully overhaul car sounds in the game

FEATURES



  • Every car has a new car sound treatment!
  • Stock and Upgraded sounds for every car are changed
  • All verbal types for every car possible are restored (announcers will react to new cars more often)
  • AI car sounds tweaked to reflect their cars' performance
  • Turbo and Supercharger sounds are revamped
  • Gear whine sound updated
  • Backfire sounds have been tweaked


INSTALLATION



  • This mod is tested to be compatible with vanilla game, if any issues occur with non-vanilla game, you're on your own
  • Put the SOUNDS folder into the root of the game's folder, replace files when prompted
  • Open VltEd and import install.nfsms script, save
  • Enjoy!

  • My own gintool to encode .gin files
  • My own tmxtool to encode .tmx files
  • Codemasters .bdl extractor for older Dirt and Grid games car sounds
  • Hex Workshop to manually edit .tmx files
  • Frostbite-Scripts to extract Frostbite engine assets
  • noesis to extract Chameleon engine assets

Well, 240SX uses KA24 engine and Sylvia the SR20DET, Eclipse and Evos could use the same vanilla sound since they have the 4G63/4B11, R34 sound there is a vanilla sound that is pretty accurate and i use it in my Mod, Golf i also have a vanilla fix that is more accurate with EA888. as for the others with you information now i understand

Gallardo doesn't use Carrera GT's sound when upgraded, Murcielago's upgraded sound was ported from Hot Pursuit 2010. Eclipse and Evo 9's engines are the same, Evo X's engine is super similar to 9. R34 GTR's sound was hard as balls to make in the first place, because how different an RB26 can sound. Golf sounds similar to vanilla because it's pretty accurate. IS350's sound is different because it's completely different (although similar sounding) engine. 350Z and G35 use THE SAME FILES WHEN UPGRADED, btw.

These cars don't need a fix to be more accurate. Just because I've reused vanilla sounds in different combinations, doesn't mean they are generic. 240SX and S15 upgraded sounds are the same because they were meant to do so as if they had the same engine, that's what upgraded is. I'll tell you a secret: a lot of cars sound similar and "generic" because they have a similar layout.

well if you use the exact same sounds as pepega, the CCX have a complety different sound when upgraded, Gallardo have the 5.2 sound stock and Carrera GT sound when upgraded, the murcielago have a weird V12 sound when upgraded, Eclipse GSX/Evos/Golf MKV have a generic 4cyl sound, Sylvia has a generic 4cyl sound when upgraded, R34 GTR have a generic i6 sound when upgraded, why 350z have a different V6 sound than the G35/is350 when upgraded? These cars needs a fix to be more accurate
