Golden Meadows Port





-Converted PS3 Golden Meadowns (Sven-test/Geldy) to PC.

- Criterion's original intention was that the map would be much larger than what we had in the final version, and that Interstate 192 would have those accesses to those zones, but assuming that the short development time would not give them time to completely finish all those zones, having to eliminate them in a later beta resulting in a smaller map and with zones made strangely.

This mod contains:
- Entrance 1, 2, 3 and 4
-Wildcat Trail Road (entrance 1)
-Maplewood Lane (entrance 2)
-Iron Mine
-Seneca Trail Road
-Fairhaven Homes (District under construction)
-Stone Drift Lane
-The airport remains intact

It has also been tested in multiplayer, in public and private games so it is safe to use it with people who do not have the mod.

Note: It is obligatory to have HD effects by Aero installed, and to have the “cinemactic mode: 1” function activated (this solves mostly crashes with map mods).

- These areas do not replace any others, so they are an addon. The ones that were replaced were modified/adjusted for the mod. I also tried to use the original TRK names.
Some go up to 1000, which are zones that had already been used by Criterion for the airport.

Known errors:
-Since there are areas of the district under construction that also include the airport,
when you crash in those zones, the game pauses and you can't continue.

-When you enter and exit Stone Drift Lane and head to the airport, the road doesn't load because the Stone Drift areas remain loaded.
This can be fixed by exiting through Exit 12 and returning to the airport, which then loads the area normally.

-At Entrance 4, there's a bug in a certain part of the entrance. It can be fixed by looking backward.

Update 1.0.1:
- Some bugs with the PVS were fixed, some structures in Iron Mine had their materials changed,
I added some objects from the final version to the district under construction, and airport TRKs will no longer load, meaning the construction district areas are now independent from them — this will likely result in better game performance.

Instructions:
Drag the files inside “HAWAII” folder into “HAWAII” folder in your game's installation folder

whoa, looking at these screenshots reminds me of the smaller, tucked-away suburban areas of colorado from forza horizon, makes me wonder how the game'd look with an extra year of dev time

@Tomertino It is not very complicated to copy and paste a texture from the final version and adjust the UV map in these test models made by Criterion. The problem is that some areas of the terrain are not well done: they have few polygons or lack the detail present in the terrain of the final version. As far as I know, there is already a team of modders working on it.

I just did a test, and yes the game doesn't load during the Round Trip race. I checked the PVS file, and it turns out there are zones that overlap with some from the airport. As a result, the game doesn't know which zones to load, so it just crashes. I can include an original copy of the PVS file, but unfortunately, I don't think there's a workable solution to this problem at the moment.
