This mod features:
*Maps up-scaled at 2x and noise reduction.
as of now the ONLY map this comes with is the FREE-ROAM map, I plan on adding more maps as times goes on.

UPDATE: now that I've been quarantined due to COVID-19 I've picked this project back up to pass time. Apologies that it has been since DEC 2018 since the first installment (i doubt many people are anticipating this mod anyway) its a very time consuming project due to the way the game handles maps, it has a separate file with a map for every single race, that means i have a have to extract>convert from DDS>upscale/de-noise>repack. I have decided to abandon TexMod in future installments/final

Never mind! I updated NFS-TexEd to the latest release, that did it.

I'm using your permanent mod, it's a welcome addition to the game.

I'm looking into modding my game without Texmod, what tools did you use to add the 1024px file to the track bin? I tried using both BinTex and NFS-TexEd to extract the high resolution dds from your bin to insert it in the old one but they both give me a dimension error. Did you need to create an entirely new file, or are there parameters that I can change?

Any help is appreciated!
