"Battle Machine" Mazda RX-7 [v3.1] (Livery)
Info
I think this is a day that not many would believe possible but here it is!
That's right people, welcome the Mazda RX-7 that has basically been the face of this game and has been absolutely everywhere... and at the same time nowhere to be found.
This is a high quality recreation of the mythical RX7 that we saw in trailers, posters, gameplay in the presentation of NFS: ProStreet at E3 2007 and even in a few trailers.
It wasn't until Undercover that we had the chance to drive it, but it appeared as a very different and poorer quality version than the one seen in the ProStreet trailers. This same low quality version appeared twice more, once in NFS: The Run and the last time in NFS: World, and from then on, it was never mentioned again in any other game.
Changelog
3.1:
-Fixed broken damage texture in the original version
-Adjusted the size of the "React Team Sessions" decal. Was too big lmao
(This won't be the last update for this livery since there are a few more things I'm waiting for to come out. Visually, though, this livery is complete, unless there's a major flaw I haven't spotted.)
3.0:
-Front and rear damages redone and minor changes in lateral scratches/damages for the trailer and alternative versions
-Duct tape patches all redone in both trailer and alternative versions.
-Minor changes in decal positions for trailer, alternative and concept 2
-All damages re done for Undercover version, extra decals missing from the roof were also added
-Scorpion Exhausts decal was changed for a Hotchkis decal in concept 1
-It was reduced to just 1 preset (grip by default) of each version to simplify things. With Car Customizer you can change the car to the game mode of your choice if you want to.
2.0:
-Improved quality of damage and scratches
-Added 5 new versions of the Battle Machine:
- The version from the photos and promotional materials
- The clean versions of both of the above (i.e. without damage or scratches)
- The version seen in Undercover
- The first concept version of the RX7 (which was made more as a visual goal for the style of the game)
- The second concept version (also called "battle worn look V2")
1.0:
- Inital release. Includes the trailer version + it's clean variant
Necessary programs
Installation
- Open Binary and select "User Mode"
- Open the mod folder in the .zip, select "ProStreet Binary Install.end", select the game's root folder and wait for Binary to prompt you to save and open the game
-The livery install takes much longer than usual, so if you don't get the message to save the files or to open the game right away, don't panic, just wait for Binary to tell you what to do.
- Once in the game, go to the car you want to install the vinyl on, enter any blueprint and then open Car Customizer
- In Car Customizer, click on "File", "Open", find the folder "Car Cus files", choose one of the 7 variants and open it's folder. Select and open the preset you want.
- Go back to the game and that's it!
Warning:
- Always backup your files before installing this or any mod. This mod modifies "LIVERYTEXTURES.BIN", in the CARS\VINYLS folder of your game.
- It is likely that even though you have done all the steps well, the livery is not showing up when applying the .nfspscd. So far I don't have the concrete answer or solution to this error, so make sure you run Binary in administrator mode and have the game folder in an unrestricted location in your PC.
- Both the modifications and the vinyl itself almost never show up the first time, so go in and out of Showcase mode a few times until you see that the car parts have changed
- The vinyl itself may take a while to appear, so if in the seconds after the parts have changed the vinyl doesn't appear, wait about a minute for the vinyl to appear.
- Car Customizer does not have an option to choose which specific parts export, so everything in the .nfspscd will completely replace what is in the car (even if you only changed a set of rims lol), so I highly recommend installing this livery on a separate car if you care about losing the modifications made on your current car.
- The car is already pre-modified with stage 4 parts
- The livery only works for the car it was made for, if you try to install this livery on another car it simply will not show up. Also, it was made to fit specific parts that mimic the car it is based on. You can make any changes you wish, but it is likely that the livery will not fit well with other body kits.

@Mr0MeG4 I don't really see a reason to make an uninstaller, as it only adds new textures that you never see in the game unless you install the livery in the car, and they don't interfere with anything in the game (and by the nature of it, I'm surprised that it "almost breaks the game").Uninstalling it doesn't solve anything, really (as I've already tested it). If you wish, you can write me by discord and I will see how I can solve your problem. I only recommend to backup your files whenever you use mods.

The only thing I don't like about the mod is that you can't uninstall it, do you think that in an update you will add the option to uninstall the mod, since I almost broke the game by installing it twice (I have 2 copies but I installed the mod twice without realizing it)ICE046 (October 09, 2024 @ 16:19)
